in Need Of a Sparkle Plenty
|
To Whom It May Concern; I have been wanting to get my grandmother a Sparkle Plenty doll for Christmas for the last six years, but have not been able to find one that I could afford that wasn't unsightly or awkward to think of giving to her as a Christmas gift. I can put up $150 as an offer, maybe a bit more depending on the wear and tear and the clothing. A bit less of course if the clothes are not what they were or not the originals. If you know what the price index should be I'd be indebted if you would direct me or help me evaluate when/if I find a seller? If anyone knows how the clothes looked originally too, I would really really appreciate a picture, some clothing patterns or, if you already know how to, I'll pay you to make them. I know it sounds bad but it doesn't have to be "perfect" and doesn't have to stay decent looking for more than 10 years, I'd imagine. She probably won't "need" it in a decade, you know? I would like it to look somewhat what it would have looked like to her back when she got one for Christmas before, though. That's all that would matter. So, please, if you have a doll and YOU wouldn't give it as a gift to someone, be kind. I want to give her something nice.. The doll doesn't really mean anything to me, and I find it silly that I'm thinking of buying something obviously time-stricken for more than sixty dollars, but to me it would be my grandma having the best Christmas gift in years, so I'm willing to put down more than a kid ought to. Thank you for your time and enjoy your holiday season! I may find a place to put pictures or record my journeys to find a doll for my grandma. Sincerely, Marissa
