This is wonderful, huggable Effanbee Bubbles vintage doll that is 20" tall, and is marked on her shoulder plate with the words: Effanbee Bubbles, copyright 1924, You can't appreciate her just by her photos, she must be seen and held to appreciate what a fantastic vintage baby doll this is. Made in the USA. She has a composition head, arms and legs with her original cloth body. She was given to my mother when she was a young girl and Mom kept her until she passed away at 88. She is wearing a bonnet, dress and socks. Her eyes open when she sits up and close when she lies down. If you look closely at her hands her thumb on her left hand stands out so she can suck her thumb when she gets sleepy like any little baby girl. Her face is just gorgeous with nice rosy blushed cheeks and rosy lips with her original two teeth showing. She has stunning clear green sleepy tin eyes and her hand painted upper and lower lashes. The earlier vintage baby dolls were made with eyes made of tin which gave them a much shinier gloss look then todays glass or plastic eyes. Her eyes open and close easily.
