This is an absolutely stunning huggable Effanbee Bubbles vintage doll that is 18" tall, and is marked on her shoulder plate with the words: Effanbee Bubbles, copyright 1924, You can't appreciate her just by her photos, she must be seen and held to appreciate what a fantastic vintage baby doll this is. Made in the USA. She has a composition head, arms and legs with her original cloth body. Her composition is in fantastic shape with no cracks, splits, lifting or crazing except just a few little marks on the bottom of her feet. NO RESTORATION has been made on this beautiful Effanbee vintage baby doll! She has her original beautiful blushing on her hands and knees and the most adorable chubby legs. This doll just begs to be held! If you look closely at her hands her thumb on her left hand stands out so she can suck her thumb when she gets sleepy like any little baby girl. Her face is just gorgeous with nice rosy blushed cheeks and rosy lips with her original two teeth showing. She has stunning clear green sleepy tin eyes and her hand painted upper and lower lashes. The earlier vintage baby dolls were made with eyes made of tin which gave them a much shinier gloss look then todays glass or plastic eyes. Her eyes open and close easily. Her golden blond hair is still in excellent condition with barely noticeable rubs. Her cloth body is very nice and best of all she has her original Effanbee tagged with the name "Bubbles" dress with replaced white bloomers and vintage matching bonnet, all in excellent condition. She has on vintage rayon stockings and period leatherette white baby shoes with ties. Her face has such a beautiful shine of a doll made by the company Jan Foulke, in her Guide to Dolls, calls the premier producer of dolls through the 1940s. The only flaw which is extremely common among these dolls in that her crier no longer works. These very old vintage dolls are absolutely adorable and look and feel just like a real baby. As the old saying goes, There is no way you can resist holding a doll like this in your arms. To find a Effanbee Bubbles vintage baby doll in this condition is truly rare.
